Positive Medical Issues on Human Cloning

Human cloning can help many people in many different ways. Cloning can also give us benefits. There are also many different types of cloning. The technology that is used for human cloning can be used to help reverse heart attacks. Scientists think they can treat heart attack victims by cloning the patients healthy heart cells. Then they would inject those healthy cells into the damaged heart cells. Scientists also discovered that embryonic stem cells can be grown to produce organs or tissues to repair or replace damaged ones. Burn victims, brain cells to help brain-damaged, the cells from the spinal cord to help quadriplegics and paraplegics and paraplegics, hearts, lungs, livers and kidneys can all be produced with human cloning. If the technology is not banned Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, heart failure, degenerative joint disease, and many other problems can be cured. From the article “Stem Cells: Big Step for a Controversial Science”, written by Claudia Kalb, Newsweek May 30, 2005, “The new lines of cells were derived from the skin cells of patients who has spinal cord injuries, an immune disorder or juvenile diabetes. Using so-called therapeutic cloning, the skin cells were merged with donor eggs whose nuclei has been removed, making the new stem cells genetic matches for the patients.”
Infertility can be a reason why people could use cloning. Only 10 percent of using infertility is successful. One way that human cloning can used to help infertility is call therapeutic cloning. In the article, “Stem Cells: Big Step for a Controversial Science” , Claudia Kalb says, “There is no federal law against therapeutic cloning, though some states have banned the procedure.“ Plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery is another reason why people could use cloning. With the new technology, doctors would be able to manufacture bone, fat, connective tissue, or cartilage that matches the patients tissues instead of using foreign materials. Humans have an average of 8 defective genes. With the human cloning technology people wouldn’t have to suffer from them. Spinal cord injuries, like quadriplegics can be cured. Quadriplegics can also get up at their wheelchairs and walk.
There are many more medical issues that are good to human cloning. They will help out many people with different situations from losing an arm or a leg in war or having cancer.

Negative Medical Issues on Human Cloning

The bad medical issues on human cloning is, that you have to worry about the failure of something going wrong. "Perhaps the most urgent ethical, legal and social issues about cloning arise in the context and process that may lead to the birth of a first human clone." If your cloned at a young age it's possible that when your older you might have a miscarriage or a deformed baby. I would have to say it would to be hard if you are cloned and trying to have a baby.

It doesn't matter if it is good or bad cloning. I think it is all bad. The reason I think it is all bad is people can get hurt. Human cloning can hurt the person that is being cloned. Like by killing an embryo. "University of Minnesota researchers, led by Dr. Catherine Verfaillie, director of the University's stem cell Institute have announced their successions in coaxing adults bone marrow stem cells into becoming functioning liver cells, a discovery revealing the potential of adult seem cells to replace any perceive needs to experiment on cells obtained by killing cloned human embryos."
